Description

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A320-251N, -252N, -253N, -271N, -272N, and -273N airplanes. This AD was prompted by a detected deviation to the manufacturing process of the angle fitting connection to side panel skin between certain frames at a certain stringer on both left hand and right hand sides. The AD requires inspecting the fastener holes to ensure they are the nominal diameter and taking applicable corrective actions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
