Description
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by certification testing that found environmental control system (ECS) ducts manufactured using a certain material failed the flammability test requirements. The AD requires inspecting affected ECS ducts, installing fire-resistant sleeves, re-identifying ceiling panel liners, and prohibits installation of ECS ducts as replacement parts under certain conditions. The AD is effective July 1, 2026, and aims to address the unsafe condition on these products.
