The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued final decisions on two applications for innovative product exemptions under the National Volatile Organic Compound Emission Standards for Consumer Products. Both Henkel Corporation and PLZ Corporation requested exemptions for their hairspray products, which are subject to an 80 percent VOC content limit.
