The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), under the Department of the Navy and NAVSEA, is soliciting offers for the procurement of specialized high integrity containers (LPRCT/PL 8-120) for nuclear or hazardous material handling and storage. - Government Buyer: - Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office, Portsmouth, Virginia (NAVSEA) - OEMs and Vendors: - Energy Solutions (drawings/specifications) - Duratek (drawings/specifications) - Products/Services Requested: - Two (2) PL 8-120 High Integrity Containers (LPRCT), fabricated and assembled per Energy Solutions Drawing C-003001456-007 and Duratek Drawing C-042-046941-001 - Includes closure pan assemblies, support collar assemblies, panel filter assemblies, dewatering systems, ultrasonic level detection, camera and light housings, lifting liner bail assemblies, and rigging gear - All components must be mercury-free, corrosion resistant, and meet strict hydrostatic testing, certification, and marking requirements - Certificate of compliance required - Storage of delivered containers may be required for up to 48 months at the delivery facility - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict adherence to detailed fabrication, assembly, and testing protocols - All components must be mercury-free - Hydrostatic testing and ANSI N14.6-1993 certification for lifting assemblies - Delivery is FOB Destination to Energy Solutions' Barnwell Logistics facility in South Carolina - Vendor must demonstrate technical capability and provide required certifications
