Description

The Department of Labor & Industry, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is seeking independent contractors to serve as Independent Hearing Officers and/or Mediators. These individuals will preside over quasi-judicial administrative impartial due process hearings and write formal adjudications related to appeals of determinations made by OVR personnel affecting vocational rehabilitation services. Candidates must be knowledgeable about federal laws governing vocational rehabilitation, including the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and have experience in administrative proceedings. Contractors will receive orientation and training from the DLI Office of Chief Counsel. The event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
