Description

*All sources may submit a quote or quote as applicable. However, the Republic of Korea (ROK)-United States (U.S.) Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), precludes the U.S. Government from granting Invited Contractor or Technical Representative status to any offeror, for this requirement. All sources submitting a quote or quote, as applicable, including U.S. sources, must already have, or obtain the requisite business licenses directly from the ROK Government, and conduct business in accordance with all applicable ROK laws, including but not limited to, rules and policies regarding labor, taxation, and immigration. Any contractor not already doing business in Korea as a local source, must submit adequate verification in its initial quote or quote, that it has the requisite authorization and capacity to compete for the requirement as a local source, and to perform the contract as a local source. If an initial quote does not fully demonstrate this authorization and capacity, it will not be further considered for award. Whether an offeror qualifies as a local source shall be determined by the Contracting Officer.***

C.  REQUIREMENTS.

   (15) Warranty:  3 years from the date of delivery.  During the warranty period, the contractor shall provide maintenance service on the warranty guaranteed parts with 100% coverage at no cost.  If repairs cannot be performed on the spot, the contractor is responsible for moving vehicles to their facility.     

   (16)  Certification and Technical Publications (In Korean):

           a. Certificate of manufacturer for each vehicle that specifies USFK as the vehicle’s owner.

           b. Operator’s manual & technical manual (parts catalog, service manual, electrical scheme) in Hangul & English in a books and digital files for end users.  

D. INTENDED USE.  The vehicles covered by specifications are intended for general use by the U.S. Government in earthworks.  The vehicles furnished hereunder shall be delivered ready for immediate use.

E.  SAFETY.  New vehicles shall comply with Korean domestic safety and exhaust emission control requirements.

F.  DELIVERY POINT.   Door-to-Door delivery.  The place listed below may be changed within 300km without any additional cost to the government.

G.  DELIVERY DATE.  The vehicles shall be delivered to the delivery point specified above within 180 calendar days after delivery order is issued.

H.  INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE.  The receiving officer or his authorized representative at the respective delivery point shall conduct inspection for condition, quality, quantity count, and final acceptance of the supplies delivered under this delivery order.
