This opportunity seeks qualified contractors to repair and replace the hangar roof at Building 11551, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, 673 CONS LGC - Scope of Work: - Remove existing built-up roof (BUR) from both the barrel center section and three lower lean-to roof sections down to the structural decking - Install new 3-ply SBS-Modified BUR roof assembly with granular cap sheet on the barrel roof section - Install new 90-mil EPDM roof assemblies on the three lower lean-to roof sections - All roofing assemblies must be fully adhered - Replace roof drains, flashings, vent pipe flashing, cover board, insulation, vapor barrier, cant strips, metal copings, and trim with new materials - Products/Services Requested: - Design-Build service for roof removal and replacement - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are specified - Unique Requirements: - Use of 3-ply SBS-Modified BUR and 90-mil EPDM roofing systems - Complete replacement of all associated roof components - Place of Performance: - Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, Hangar Building 11551

Description

Site visit scheduled for 8 June at B11551 at 11:00AM (Local Time). Building 11551 is a one-story, 75,000 square feet (SF) building framed primarily out of steel and cast-in-place concrete. The building was originally constructed in the early 1940s and is a historic property eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The main open space is 200-ft by 229-ft with a high barrel roof section that?s approximately 50,500 SF. Additionally there are three (3) low slope roof lean-to sections. The West lean-to section is approximately 36-ft by 268-ft,with the East lean-to section at approximately 36-ft by 229-ft. The East side shall include an addition that is approximately 35- ft by 38-ft. The South lean-to section is approximately 36-ft by 180-ft. This Design-Build project will remove the existing built-up roof (BUR) from both barrel center section and the three (3) lower roof lean-to sections down to the existing structural decking. New 3-ply SBS-Modified BUR roof assembly with granular cap sheet on the barrel roof section shall be installed and the three (3) lower roof lean-to sections shall be replaced with new 90-mil Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) roof assemblies. All roofing assemblies shall be fully adhered. Replace existing roof drains, flashings, vent pipe flashing, cover board, insulation, vapor barrier, cant strips, metal copings and trim with new.
