NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is seeking shock rated forklift batteries for Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels through a sole source procurement from East Penn Manufacturing. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) - OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer): - East Penn Manufacturing (sole source) - Products Requested: - Shock Rated Forklift Battery, P/N: 18-G75-27EE / IST6H51 (4 units) - Shock Rated Forklift Battery, P/N: 18-G75-21EE / IST6F72 (4 units) - Shock Rated Side Loader Battery, P/N: 36-G105-9EE / IST8178 (2 units) - Requirements & Notable Details: - Batteries are designated as critical safety items for forklifts onboard MSC vessels - Only East Penn Manufacturing is considered capable of supplying these batteries - Firm-fixed-price supply contract - Delivery required to DLA Disposition Services San Diego - Offers will be evaluated for price reasonableness and past performance

Description

Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) intends to solicit for East Penn Manufacturing Forklift Battery 4 EA P/N:18-G75-27EE / IST6H51, Forklift Battery 4 EA P/N:18-G75-21EE / IST6F72, Side Loader Battery 2 EA P/N: 36-G105-9EE / IST8178.

This requirement is sole sourced to East Penn Manufacturing due to the batteries being for forklifts onboard an MSC vessel which are considered critical safety items. Only the OEM can provide these critical safety items. Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, which will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  

The Government will evaluate the offeror’s price for reasonableness and past performance as part of the responsibility determination in accordance with RFO 12.203.
