This opportunity seeks qualified contractors for the Kansas Street Sewer Force Main Replacement Project in New Orleans: - Government Buyer: - Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, Procurement Department - Project Scope: - Replacement of the Kansas Street sewer force main in the Carrollton Sanitary Sewer Basin, Leonidas Neighborhood - Construction activities include horizontal directional drilling, jack and bore installation, direct bury installation, traffic control, site paving, and restoration - Extensive removal and replacement of pavement, sidewalks, curbs, and fencing - Installation of new 16" HDPE sewer force main (3,696 linear feet total via HDD), plug valves, manholes, air release valve, and reinforced concrete pipe - Environmental, safety, and quality control requirements are emphasized - Products & Services Requested: - Major construction line items: removal/disposal of existing pavement (concrete/asphalt), roadway excavation, geotextile fabric, geogrid, base course, Superpave asphaltic concrete (wearing and binder courses), reinforced concrete pavement, concrete sidewalk, sodding, plug valves, manholes, catch basins, fencing, air release valve (H-Tech Model 989-00 or approved equivalent), exploratory excavation, jacked/bored steel pipe casing, and sewer house connections - Use of Procore software for project management is required - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Davis-Bacon wage rates, American Iron and Steel requirements, and equal employment opportunity standards - Contractors must meet all state and local licensing and qualification standards - 150-day substantial completion period, with defined milestones and a 45-day maintenance period post-acceptance - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are mandated, but the air release valve references H-Tech Model 989-00 or approved equivalent - Place of Performance: - Carrollton Sanitary Sewer Basin, Leonidas Neighborhood, New Orleans - Coordination with City of New Orleans Departments and Louisiana DOTD may be required

This solicitation is for sealed bids for the construction of Contract 30200, the Kansas Street Sewer Force Main Replacement Project. Bid documents and proposal forms are available for download starting May 21, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on June 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Central Time at the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans or via teleconference. Bids are due by June 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Central Time and will be publicly opened and read shortly thereafter.
