Description
The Subsurface Energy R&D Investment Program (SERDIP) is a provincial initiative aimed at exploring Nova Scotia's onshore hydrocarbon resources while ensuring environmental stewardship and transparency. The program offers financial incentives to operators to conduct exploratory drilling and advance scientific understanding of subsurface geology and modern drilling technologies in Nova Scotia. Successful proponents will negotiate a Petroleum Exploration Agreement granting exclusive exploration and production rights for up to 9 years.
