The City of Georgetown is seeking bids for the construction of covered parking and laydown areas at the Georgetown Municipal Complex. - Government Buyer: - City of Georgetown Purchasing Department - Contracting office located at 510 W. 9th Street, Georgetown, TX - Project Scope: - Construction of two steel-framed parking canopies: - Trailer Parking/Laydown Area Canopy (approx. 200x30 ft, 15-20 ft tall) - Bucket Truck Parking Canopy (approx. 180x20 ft, 20 ft tall) - Overhang addition to existing covered fleet parking - New covered laydown space structure - Site preparation, foundation work (shallow spread footings or drilled piers into limestone), erection of steel canopies, paving repairs - All labor, materials, and geotechnical engineering services included - Products/Services Requested: - Steel canopy structures and overhangs - Foundation and structural materials (concrete, steel) - Geotechnical engineering services (site characterization, foundation design, earthwork) - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with 2021 IBC codes and City of Georgetown/Texas construction standards - Prevailing wage rates, performance and payment bonds, insurance coverage - Maximum vertical column loads of 100 kips or less - One-year warranty after completion - Bid bond or cashier’s check required - Environmental and safety regulations must be followed - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; opportunity is open to qualified construction contractors - Place of Performance: - Georgetown Municipal Complex, 300 Industrial Ave, Georgetown, TX - Contract Duration: - 120 days to substantial completion, 150 days to final completion, with liquidated damages for delays

Description

The City of Georgetown is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of the GMC Covered Parking and Laydown Area. The project includes furnishing, installing, and providing all labor and materials to construct an overhang addition to the existing covered fleet parking and a new covered laydown space structure as detailed in the construction documents dated 1/28/2026. Bids must be submitted electronically via the City E-bid system by June 9, 2026, and accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on May 22, 2026, at the Georgetown Municipal Complex.
