The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking qualified sources to provide blood products and related laboratory services for the Omaha VA Medical Center. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO 23) - Nebraska Western-Iowa VA Health Care System - Products and Services Requested: - Blood products including leukoreduced red blood cell units, blood components, and plasma derivatives - Reference laboratory testing services (must maintain CLIA certification and appropriate accreditations) - Therapeutic apheresis services (separation/removal of blood components, reinfusion, replacement fluids) - Donor mobile operations (trained staff, supplies, and equipment for on-site blood collection) - Delivery and Performance Details: - 24/7 delivery and emergency support for blood products and services - Services performed at Omaha VA Medical Center Laboratory, main hospital building, Room 2291 - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All blood products must be procured from volunteer donors and comply with FDA and AABB standards - Reference lab testing must maintain CLIA certification - Emergency apheresis support subject to staffing - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; potential suppliers must meet regulatory and accreditation standards - Contract Structure: - Firm-fixed price, five-year IDIQ contract (base year plus four option years)
