AOA Fence and Access Gate Realignment at Hagerstown Regional Airport

This opportunity involves the realignment of the Airport Operations Area (AOA) fence and access gate at Hagerstown Regional Airport, with a focus on security and infrastructure upgrades. - Government Buyer: - The Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, Maryland (local lead) - Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) involvement via AIP funding - Products and Services Requested: - Installation of 2,000 LF of 10' chain-link fence with barbed wire and 500 LF on concrete median barriers - Installation of 160' electric telescoping gate, pedestrian gate, and 2 gate operators - Installation of 38 six-inch bollards - Installation of fiber optic and electric cables in various conduits (including through turf, pavement, and rock) - Directional boring for fiber optic and electric cables (various diameters and lengths) - Installation of 10 electrical junction cans, 1 electrical handhole, 1 electrical rack, and 2 obstruction lights - Relocation of a 25KV transformer - Demolition and removal of existing fencing, gates, transformer pads, bollards, light poles, and other infrastructure - Infill of oil/water separators and trench drains - Pavement marking removal and installation, and site seeding - Project survey, stakeout, mobilization, and maintenance/protection of traffic - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict coordination with airport operations to minimize operational impacts - Compliance with FAA and other regulatory requirements - Phased construction and safety plans required - Mandatory bid, performance, and labor/material bonds - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; the solicitation is open to qualified contractors able to meet technical and regulatory standards.
