The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is seeking information from industry regarding telematics systems to manage and monitor its fleet of over 10,500 Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) across up to 500 USPS facilities. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Postal Service (USPS) - Material Handling Engineering office - Scope of Requested Solution: - Telematics hardware and software for PIVs (forklifts, rider pallet jacks, tow motors) - Real-time vehicle tracking and fleet visibility - OSHA safety checklists and compliance monitoring - Predictive maintenance and maintenance tracking - Impact sensing and operator accountability - Access control and reporting features - Integration with existing USPS systems - Services Requested: - Application training for software users, hardware installers, drivers, and IT teams - Maintenance Service Level Agreement (SLA) including help desk, hardware/software maintenance, RMA repair, warranty, web-based access, and data analysis - Hardware installation and testing on PIVs - Unique Requirements: - Solution must support up to 500 USPS facilities nationwide - Training materials become USPS property - Hardware installation and verification required before release - Must interface with USPS legacy systems - No specific OEMs, vendors, products, part numbers, or purchase quantities are listed in the RFI. - Place of Performance: - USPS mail processing facilities nationwide - Maintenance Technical Support Center (MTSC) in Norman, OK - USPS federal offices in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA

Telematics PIV - The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking currently available applications and market information regarding the potential sourcing of telematics system capable of managing and monitoring Powered Industrial Vehicles across multiple facilities. The product should provide solutions that improve operational safety, fleet visibility, maintenance tracking, operator accountability, and reporting features.
