This opportunity is for comprehensive packing, crating, storage, and shipment services for Department of Defense (DoD) personnel in Alaska, primarily at Fort Wainwright and Fort Greely. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command - Alaska (HQ RCO-AK), Fort Wainwright - Contracting officials: Jeff Morgan (Contracting Officer), Richard Smith (Contract Specialist) - Scope of Services: - Full-service packing, crating, containerization, local drayage, storage, and shipment of household goods (HHG) and unaccompanied baggage - Services include premove surveys, weighing, inventorying, appliance servicing, loading/unloading, unpacking, claims processing, and documentation - Coverage for outbound, inbound, intra-city, and intra-area moves, including special handling for overflow, oversize, and valuable items - Storage services with charges per 30-day period; drayage beyond contract area available - Contractor must provide all labor, management, equipment, supplies, and transportation - Products/Line Items: - Extensive list of service line items, including complete move services, storage, container supply (ASTM-D4169-01, SDDC Pamphlet 55-12, ASTM-D6039/D6039M-02), attempted pickups/deliveries, reweighing, trip charges, and reporting/documentation deliverables - Quantities specified for many line items (e.g., 3,000 inbound HHG moves, 2,600 intra-city moves, 1,020 outbound HHG at residence) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Set aside for small businesses, including HUBZone, SDVOSB, and WOSB - Strict performance standards for timeliness, accuracy, and facility/equipment maintenance - Adherence to Defense Transportation Regulation 4500.9-R-Part IV and detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS) - Government- and contractor-furnished containers; special trip charges for Fort Greely - All services must comply with federal documentation and reporting requirements - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments - Period of Performance: - 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods (total potential duration: 5 years) - Locations: - Primary: Fort Wainwright, Fort Greely, and other locations in Alaska as needed - Services may also occur at contractor facilities, member residences, and federal/commercial terminals

Description

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements Contract to provide Packing & Crating services. The contractor will furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials, except as specified herein as government-furnished, for the preparation of the personal property of Department of Defense (DOD) personnel for shipment and/or storage and related services through the DPM. See PWS for full Requirement. at Fort Wainwright Alaska (FWA), Fort Greely, Alaska (FGA) and other areas as needed in Alaska. This procurement is Set Aside for Small Business. The service period of performance (POP) will be a 12-month base plus four 12-month options.
