The Government has released a Request for Solutions (RFS) for the SHY Sprints 2026 opportunity, focusing on scalable production of hypersonic glide vehicles and advanced manufacturing of solid rocket motors. The project aims to explore innovative approaches in production scalability, cost-effective manufacturing technologies, materials and design innovations, and strengthening resilience across the domestic industrial base. Key areas of interest include novel front-end concepts for hypersonic strike capability, scalable manufacturing technologies, and technology pathways for future hypersonic and missile systems. The prototype development period will be determined after the RFS release and based on selected performers' proposed timelines.
