The City of Cleveland's Department of Public Utilities, Division of Water, is seeking bids for a one-year contract to supply large-diameter water valves and related appurtenances for municipal water system maintenance. - Government Buyer: - City of Cleveland, Department of Public Utilities, Division of Water - Office of the Commissioner of Purchases and Supplies - Products/Services Requested: - Supply of square head gate valves (20" to 54" diameters) with mechanical joint ends and accessories (valve stem extensions, valve boxes) - Allowance for special parts or special size valves and appurtenances (up to $10,000 with markup) - All valves must meet AWWA C500, C509, and C515 standards and be lead-free - Quantities: - 2 x 20" valves, 2 x 24" valves, 1 each of 30", 36", 42", 48", and 54" valves - 10,000 (allowance) for special parts or special size valves/appurtenances - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with AWWA standards and lead-free requirements - Detailed technical specifications and testing required - Equal opportunity, wage theft disclosure, and subcontracting compliance - Delivery to CWD Central Warehouse in Newburgh Heights, Ohio - Delivery times must be specified and will be considered in bid evaluation - No specific OEMs or part numbers are named in the solicitation - Notable locations: Cleveland City Hall (contracting office) and CWD Central Warehouse (delivery location)

Description

This solicitation is for the procurement of valves and appurtenances 20 inch and larger for the Division of Water within the Department of Public Utilities. The project is authorized by Ordinance 129.25 passed by the City Council on September 21, 1992. Bidders are invited to submit bids by June 18, 2026, with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting held via Microsoft Teams on May 28, 2026. The bid opening will occur at noon on June 18, 2026, at Cleveland City Hall.
