Description

The FY26 Epilepsy Research Program (ERP) Idea Development Award (IDA) solicits novel research aimed at increasing understanding of post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) and associated comorbidities to improve quality of life, especially for Service Members, Veterans, and their care partners. The research should challenge existing paradigms, be highly creative, and represent a new direction for the investigator. The award is not intended to extend previously published findings or continue well-established research lines. Funding is available for investigators at all career levels, with a total of approximately $2 million to fund two awards, each with a cost cap of $1 million and a maximum performance period of three years.
