This opportunity seeks commercial aviation services to support the U.S. Wildland Fire Service (USWFS) for personnel and cargo transport between the Lower 48 states and Alaska. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD), USWFS Aviation Operations and Management (AOM) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or vendors are named; any qualified commercial aviation provider may compete - Products/Services Requested: - Multi-engine turboprop or turbojet aircraft (minimum 50 passenger seats, pressurized cabin, IFR/VFR, FAA certified) - Aviation services include: - On-call aviation services (estimated 100 flight hours, 10 standby hours) - Exclusive use aviation services (guaranteed 60 days, estimated 100 flight hours) - Provision of pilots, fuel, maintenance, and associated equipment - Aircraft must be based in Boise, Idaho, and capable of operations between the contiguous U.S. and multiple locations in Alaska - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict technical, safety, and personnel qualifications for aircraft and crew - Aircraft must be available for both on-call and exclusive use, with pricing based on flight and standby hours or daily availability - No funds currently available; award subject to funding - Open to full and open competition (not set aside for small business) - Place of Performance: - Primary base: Boise, Idaho - Service area: Lower 48 states and multiple Alaskan cities (e.g., Anchorage, Fairbanks, Nome, Kotzebue, etc.)

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.Solicitation Number 140D0426R0468 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for commercial aviation services in support of the U.S. Wildland Fire Service (USWFS) for the transportation of personnel, goods, and cargo between the Contiguous U.S. (Lower 48) and Alaska, with the Contractors¿ primary base of operations located in Boise, Idaho.This requirement is being issued by the United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12.This acquisition provides full and open competition, it is not set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 481211, Nonscheduled Chartered Passenger Air Transportation. The size standard for the applicable NAICS is 1500 employees.
