Description
This solicitation is for heavy brush removal activities located on Forest Service Roads within the Sunshine Coast Natural Resource District. The contractor is required to mechanically brush both roadsides of the Forest Service Roads using a rubber-tired brushing machine. The brushing must extend to the upper outside edge of ditches or a minimum of 3 meters from each edge of the road surface, cutting vegetation down to ground level where practical and up to a height of 3 meters for overhanging branches. The work includes ensuring sight distances on curves, corners, road junctions, signs, bridges, and other structures, and all equipment must have working communication radios using the posted Forest Service Road Radio Frequency. Work is not to commence until August 17, 2026, and the estimated contract duration is 7 months including potential extensions.
