Norfolk Naval Shipyard is seeking to procure two Microbulk Tanks for liquid nitrogen storage and handling at its Portsmouth, Virginia facility. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard - Contracting office: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA - Products/Services Requested: - Two (2) Microbulk Tanks, each with a minimum capacity of 1,750 gallons - Horizontal, mobile, pallet-mounted, and forklift-transportable - Maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) of 500 psig or greater - Maximum full weight: 40,000 pounds; design temperature: -320°F - Nominal evaporation rate: 0.6% per day max; flow capability: 3,500 scfh minimum - Maximum total height: 144 inches - Includes differential pressure liquid level gauge, pressure gauge, safety elements, relief valves, pressure building coil, vacuum gauge tube (Hastings Instrument model DV-6R), and vaporizer mounted on pallet - All system components and piping mounted on pallet - Valves: vacuum line shut-off, isolation, pressure building coil, fill connection (1-1/2" cryogenic nitrogen NI-150 CGA fitting), gas supply connection (FNPT) - Construction per ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Div I, CGA-341, ANSI B31.3 - Includes three sets of technical manuals (operating, maintenance, parts list, piping schematic, drawings, oil/moisture resistant binders) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Mercury-free hardware is required - Certificate of compliance must be provided - Compliance with DFARS item identification and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements - Delivery is FOB destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Building 276 - OEMs/Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments; the opportunity is open to qualified manufacturers meeting the technical specifications - All technical and operational requirements are detailed in Attachment (A): Microbulk Liquid Nitrogen Tank Specs
