The Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (OPCC) is considering a direct award contract to Dr. Kim Stanton to provide strategic and innovative advice on the OPCC's first systemic investigation. The work includes advising on the investigation plan, evidence collection and analysis, report writing, and recommendations. The investigation focuses on how municipal police departments and designated units in British Columbia address workplace sexualized conduct by police officers. The advisor will also provide expertise on gender-based violence, discrimination, equality rights, systemic discrimination, sexual harassment/misconduct in workplaces, legal frameworks, police accountability and culture, and systemic/inquiry processes.
