Description

The City of Spruce Grove is seeking proposals from qualified planning consulting firms to lead the comprehensive update of the City's Land Use Bylaw (Bylaw C-824-12). The project includes land use bylaw drafting expertise, public and stakeholder engagement facilitation, GIS mapping and analysis, graphic design and illustration, and communications support. The goal is to develop a new, comprehensively updated Land Use Bylaw aligned with the Municipal Development Plan, ensuring it is clearly written, legally sound, and structured for durable, consistent administration. Additional deliverables include a Community Land Use Vision, land use map, Plain Language Guide, Concordance Document, memos, and reports. The contract is expected to start in July 2026 and complete by late 2027 or early 2028, lasting approximately 18 to 20 months.
