The City of Carlsbad Community Development Department is seeking qualified firms to provide professional engineering plancheck services for land development projects. - Government Buyer: - City of Carlsbad Community Development Department, Land Development Engineering Division - Office location: 1635 Faraday Avenue, Carlsbad, CA 92008 - Services Requested: - Comprehensive engineering plan review for improvement plans, grading, erosion control, final maps, water/sewer/recycled water improvements, stormwater quality management, and optional geotechnical report reviews - All services must be performed digitally using City platforms (Tyler Technologies EPL, Bluebeam) - Adherence to City standards, codes, and regulations is required - Timely completion of planchecks and participation in monthly meetings - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are mandated or highlighted; procurement is open to all qualified firms - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Digital plan review capability using specified platforms - Compliance with insurance and conflict of interest requirements - Best value evaluation for contract award - Encouragement of minority- and women-owned business participation

Description

The City of Carlsbad Community Development Department, Land Development Engineering Division, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications and Proposals from firms to provide engineering plancheck services. The scope of work and details are contained in the Request for Qualifications & Proposals document. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the city's e-bidding site by June 19, 2026. All questions must be submitted in writing by May 29, 2026, and will be answered via addendum if material.
