Description
The United States International Trade Commission conducted an investigation under section 202(b) of the Trade Act of 1974 to determine whether quartz surface products are being imported into the United States in increased quantities causing serious injury to the domestic industry. The investigation was initiated following a petition filed by the Quartz Manufacturing Alliance of America. The Commission determined that such imports are a substantial cause of serious injury and recommended a tariff-rate-quota on imports of quartz surface products for a four-year period with specified tariff rates and volume levels. The report includes injury determination, remedy recommendations, and a summary of information obtained in the investigation.
