SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a New York State-certified MWBE vendor for a one-year contract to provide comprehensive exterminating and integrated pest management (IPM) services across multiple university and hospital facilities in Brooklyn, NY. - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY) – SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University - Scope of Services: - Comprehensive exterminating and IPM services for inpatient hospital, academic, administrative, outpatient clinical, and food service areas - Routine inspection, monitoring, prevention, and treatment for rodents, general pests (roaches, ants, water bugs), crawling and flying insects, bed bugs (including inspection and remediation), stored-product and pantry pests - Crack & crevice treatments, fogging, HEPA vacuuming, sanitation support, drain cleaning - Specialty/non-routine pest requests, including wildlife removal - Emergency and urgent response services with defined response times for patient care and non-patient care areas - Notable Requirements: - Contract is limited to NYS-certified Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) vendors; 100% MWBE participation goal - Vendor must have at least five years of relevant experience and hold current NYSDEC Pesticide Business Registration - Certified technicians required; compliance with infection control, environmental, and regulatory standards - Mandatory service plans: lot-by-lot service plan, rodent clean-out program (6 times/year), fogging program (9 times/year), emergency response plan, sustainability approach, and nuisance wildlife capability - Detailed documentation, reporting, and compliance with state and federal laws - Locations: - Services to be performed at multiple SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University facilities in Brooklyn, including University Hospital, Clinical Science Building, BSB, HSEB, PHAB, 811/825 New York Avenue, 394/440 Lenox Road, Division of Comparative Medicine, Dialysis Center, Family Medicine, FMND Building, HR & Payroll, University Police Department, and main hospital food service areas

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University (SUNY-DHSU) intends to procure a qualified MWBE vendor to provide comprehensive exterminating and integrated pest management (IPM) services at designated locations. The services include inspection, monitoring, prevention, and treatment for various pests such as rodents, general pests, crawling and flying insects, bed bugs, and others. The contract term is one year, and the procurement is limited to NYS Business Certified Pursuant to Article 15-A and 17-B of the New York State Executive Law. A mandatory walk-through is scheduled for June 2, 2026.
