The Office of Attorneys for Children of the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, invites applications from attorneys to serve as the Senior Attorney in the Schuyler County & Chemung County Children's Law Office. The Children's Law Office serves child clients in matters before the Family, Supreme and Surrogate's Courts of Schuyler County & Chemung County, in all types of proceedings where representation by an attorney for the child is authorized by law. The Senior Attorney represents child clients and manages the office, including coordination and oversight of the activities of other staff. The position requires admission to the practice of law in New York State and prefers at least five years of substantial experience in the representation of children. Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience, including compensation in lieu of fringe benefits.
