Description
The U.S. Coast Guard intends to submit an Information Collection Request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requesting an extension of approval for the collection of information related to Oil and Hazardous Material Pollution Prevention and Safety Records, Equivalents/Alternatives and Exemptions. This collection ensures that alternatives or exemptions provide an equivalent level of safety and pollution protection. The Coast Guard is inviting public comments before submitting the ICR to OMB. The collection is necessary under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 and related regulations to prevent discharge of oil and hazardous substances from vessels and facilities.
