The California Department of Transportation, Division of Equipment, is seeking bids for a turnkey Personnel Hoist, Underbridge Inspection Truck for bridge inspection and maintenance operations. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Transportation, Division of Equipment (Caltrans) - Procurement official: Michael Weber - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) Personnel Hoist, Underbridge Inspection Truck - Must meet State of California Specification 05382-036-261 and all included drawings - 60-foot horizontal reach, truck-mounted, designed for bridge inspection and maintenance - Includes technical and safety features as specified - Services: - Training for operators, mechanics, and parts personnel by a qualified factory-authorized service representative - Installation of at least four (4) wireless intercom headsets and base station (DECT technology, noise reduction, Bluetooth) - Installation of inverter and 120V AC outlet (minimum 1200W continuous power) in storage box - Notable Requirements: - Delivery to Caltrans Shop 3, 981 North Beale Rd., Marysville, CA 95901 - Final acceptance required within 550 days after purchase order or 210 days after chassis receipt (whichever is later) - Warranty: 3 years/45,000 miles for cab and chassis; 2 years/30,000 miles for hoist - Training and inspections post-award - All bids must comply with State bid forms and technical requirements - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; open to all qualified manufacturers - Award will be made on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder

This solicitation is a one-time acquisition conducted by the California Department of Transportation, Division of Equipment, for one (1) Personnel Hoist, Underbridge Inspection Truck. The equipment must be supplied in accordance with State of California Specification 05382-036-261 and all included drawings. The solicitation is issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) with a due date of June 8, 2026, and includes a public bid opening conducted by conference call.
