The National Park Service (NPS), Pacific Western Region, is seeking a contractor to provide hazardous and universal waste disposal services for Kalaupapa National Historical Park on Molokai, Hawaii. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS), Pacific Western Region (PWR), PWR - HONO MABO Office, Honolulu, HI - Products/Services Requested: - Annual hazardous and universal waste disposal services, including: - Manifesting, transportation (including annual barge coordination), treatment, and disposal/recycling of: - Used oil (2 x 55-gallon drums, <1000 PPM halogens) - Aerosol cans (3 x 55-gallon drums, DOT Class 2.1/2.2) - Lead acid batteries (500 lbs spillable, 2000 lbs non-spillable) - Alkaline batteries (100 lbs) - Ni-Cad batteries (50 lbs) - Lithium batteries (50 lbs) - Non-PCB ballasts (50 lbs) - Fluorescent lamps/bulbs (200 each, straight tubes & compact) - All services must comply with local, state, and federal regulations - Contractor must prepare and deliver all required shipping documents - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Annual barge transport between Honolulu and Kalaupapa is required for waste movement - Work must be performed at a remote national park facility with limited access - Contract includes one base year and four option years (total of five years) - Total small business set-aside - No specific OEMs or branded products are named; part number 7540-01-152-8067 is used for several battery and lamp line items - Place of performance is Kalaupapa National Historical Park, with delivery coordination at Young Brothers Pier 39/40 in Honolulu
