The Department of the Treasury is soliciting services for the renovation and maintenance of the Main Treasury Secretary's Fireplace at the Main Treasury Building in Washington, DC. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Treasury, Procurement Services Division, Treasury Acquisition Division Team 3 - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments - Products/Services Requested: - Renovation and relining of the Main Treasury Secretary's Fireplace flue with a heavy wall UL 7" x 11" x 40' 304 stainless steel liner (lifetime warranty) - Removal of existing flue tiles and throat damper - Installation of new top tile and top closing damper system - Insulation of flue with UL listed insulation - Parging and resurfacing of the smoke chamber with a 1" thick layer - Temporary removal and reinstallation of the shroud cover, including inspection and structural stability check - Installation of an animal guard spark arrestor - Containment and protection of surrounding areas during work - Hands-on demonstration of damper system operation and photo documentation upon completion - Set up of a 10 x 10 staging area, furniture clearing, temporary protection, and final cleaning - Initial staffing plan and monthly contractor workforce reporting required for small business set-asides - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All work must be performed during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm), excluding federal holidays - Contractor must provide a lifetime warranty on the stainless steel liner - Compliance with small business set-aside requirements, including workforce reporting and minimum prime contractor performance percentage - Work must commence within one day of award and be completed within 30 days - Place of Performance: - Main Treasury Building, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20220 - Additional delivery location: JBAB Visitor Center, 256 McGuire Ave., Washington, DC 20032
