The U.S. Air Force is seeking industry input for the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of a new Advanced Wing Weapons Pylon (AWWP) for the B-52 aircraft. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, AFLCMC Bomber Aircraft office (AFLCMC/WBDK B-52 Branch) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to all qualified aerospace manufacturers - Products/Services Requested: - Advanced Wing Weapons Pylon (AWWP) to replace the current Improved Common Pylon - Capable of carrying munitions up to 20,000 lbs - Integration with MIL-STD-1760E and B-52 aircraft systems - Dual certification for both conventional and nuclear weapons - Digital engineering, airworthiness certification, and aerospace production expertise required - Initial production of 20-24 pylons, with at least 12 delivered in the first year - Long-term requirement for approximately 130 pylons - Includes required support equipment - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with military standards (MIL-STD-1760E) - Technical data rights and cybersecurity compliance - Program management and production experience - Small businesses are encouraged to respond - Place of Performance and Delivery: - Work and deliveries associated with Edwards, California (Edwards AFB) and Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio - Contracting office at AFLCMC/WBDK B-52 Branch

The U.S. Air Force is seeking information from industry on capabilities to develop a B-52 Advanced Wing Weapons Pylon (AWWP). This RFI is for market research purposes to identify potential providers capable of designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing a replacement or modified pylon that meets advanced performance requirements.

The specific technical requirements and carriage loadouts are provided in the attached "RFI_AWWP_20May26.pdf". 

Key capability areas include:

Weight Capacity:Carriage of munitions up to 20,000 lbs. Integration: MIL-STD-1760E and existing B-52 system compatibility. Certification: Dual conventional and nuclear certification capability. Engineering: Digital engineering, airworthiness certification, and aerospace production expertise.
