CAL FIRE is seeking bids for the supply of Structural Turnout Protective Ensembles, Category 1, to equip its Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit (MMU) personnel for structural firefighting operations. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), Business Services Office, Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit - OEMs and Vendors: - Lion (OEM) - Morning Pride (OEM) - No specific resellers or distributors named; only OEMs meeting technical and certification requirements are eligible - Products/Services Requested: - 130 sets of Structural Turnout Jackets, Category 1 (sizes to be determined at order) - 130 sets of Structural Turnout Pants, Category 1 (sizes to be determined at order) - Products must meet NFPA 1971 standards, ISO 9001 manufacturing, and OEKO-TEX certification - Approved models and part numbers include: - Lion: LTO96B3 COAT GOLD, MPL96B3 PANTS GOLD, LTO96T3 COAT GOLD, MPL96T3 PANTS GOLD - Morning Pride: CF-CSTM-CF-CAT1, CF-CVBM-CF-CAT1, CF-CVFM-CF-CAT1, CF-PSDM-CF-CAT1, CF-PVFM-CF-CAT1 (and corresponding CAT2 models) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Garments must be UL certified and meet CAL FIRE's minimum performance values for heat loss, thermal protection, and evaporation resistance - Manufacturers must provide annual UL test results and descriptive literature (brand, model, SKU, sizes, quantities) - Warranty and inspection requirements apply - Compliance with state administrative requirements, including post-consumer recycled content certification, DVBE participation, and Darfur Act certification - Partial deliveries and payments are allowed - Delivery to CAL FIRE MMU in Mariposa, CA, with preferred completion within 12 weeks of contract award
