Argonne National Laboratory, under the Department of Energy, is seeking proposals for a specialized microwave resonant cavity heating system to support in-situ X-ray experimentation at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) beamlines. - Government Buyer: - Department of Energy, Argonne National Laboratory (Lemont, IL) - Products/Systems Requested: - TE111 microwave resonant cavity system (operating at 2.4-2.5 GHz) - Includes APS beamline access ports, X-ray-transparent windows, water-cooled cavity plate, motorized and manual translation mechanisms, and additional viewports for sample observation - Control computer (Windows-based) with installed python or LabVIEW-based control software for system operation and data logging - Water chiller for cooling the microwave generator and/or cavity - Services Requested: - Optional onsite installation, startup assistance, and training at APS beamline facilities - Unique/Notable Requirements: - System must be compatible with APS infrastructure and support programmable temperature profiles and data logging - Integration with APS beamlines and support for in-situ X-ray experimentation - Proposals must include firm fixed-pricing, anticipated ship date, and country of origin - Evaluation based on lowest price, technically acceptable methodology - No specific OEMs or part numbers are named; vendors must provide design, fabrication, testing, and delivery

THIS RFQ WILL BE EVALUATED BASED ON LOWEST PRICE, TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE METHODOLOGY

Looking to source a resonant cavity system in accordance with the attached Appendix B Statement of Work.

Please note this is in relation to Notice ID 6-B185-Q-00277-00, but must be responded to separately due to funding source.

Components from Notice ID 6-B185-Q-00277-00 to be used in resonant cavity system.

Please review all applicable documentation and provide a proposal response no later than 5:00 PM CST May 26, 2026.
