Description

The 42d Mission Support Group (42 MSG) at Maxwell Air Force Base (AFB) requires the procurement of a durable and highly maneuverable Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV). This vehicle will support the transportation of MSG Command Staff across various terrains of Maxwell AFB in support of mission readiness, operations, installation training exercises, and base emergency responses. Maxwell presents unique mobility challenges due to its expansive perimeter, dense vegetation, flood-prone areas, wooded terrain, and proximity to the Alabama River, making rapid response difficult with standard personally owned vehicles. UTVs will improve operational efficiency, emergency response time, personnel fatigue and mitigate the risk associated with using privately owned vehicles.
