The City of Carson is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive backflow prevention device services across city facilities: - Government Buyer: - City of Carson Purchasing Department - Contact: Josilla Togiola, Purchasing Manager - Scope of Work: - Certified testing, annual inspection, reporting, maintenance, minor and major repairs, replacements, and emergency response for approximately 200 City-owned backflow prevention devices - Devices include domestic, irrigation, and fire line assemblies (e.g., DCDA, RPDA) installed at parks, medians, public buildings, and landscaped areas - Services must comply with Golden State Water Company and California Water Service requirements, as well as state and local drinking water protection regulations - Notable Requirements: - Valid Backflow Tester Certification and current test kit calibration - California contractor licenses: C-36 (plumbing) and C-16 (fire protection) - DIR Public Works registration - Minimum three years of municipal backflow experience - Compliance with prevailing wage, bonding, safety standards, and the City's Project Labor Agreement - Contract Details: - Five-year contract term with lump sum pricing for the full period - Potential for single or multiple awards at the City's discretion

The City of Carson is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide certified backflow testing, annual inspections, reporting, maintenance, minor and major repairs or replacements, and emergency response services for approximately 200 City-owned backflow prevention devices located citywide. The contractor will support compliance with state and local drinking water protection regulations, including Golden State Water Company and California Water Service backflow requirements. The work includes testing, inspection, certification, repairs, replacements, and emergency services for domestic, irrigation, and fire line backflow assemblies.
