Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary special local regulation (SLR) for certain navigable waters of the Red River near Shreveport, LA, from mile markers 227.8 to 229. This regulation is to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from hazards associated with a high-speed marine event scheduled from May 22 to May 24, 2026. The regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Lower Mississippi River or their designated representative. The rule is effective daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the event dates.
