Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone within a 500-yard radius of the vessels Ugle Duckling and Streak while they conduct underwater survey operations on the Line 5 Pipeline in the Straits of Mackinac, Lake Michigan. This safety zone is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from hazards associated with the underwater survey work. Entry into the zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Northern Great Lakes. The safety zone will be enforced daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from June 1, 2026, through July 31, 2026.
