Description

This notice announces the re-establishment of a matching program between the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The program allows ED to receive information from VA to verify the status of applicants for financial assistance under title IV of the Higher Education Act who claim to be veterans. The current Computer Matching Agreement was recertified for an additional 12 months and will expire on June 26, 2026. The matching program will continue for 18 months after the effective date and may be renewed for up to an additional 12 months.
