Description

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) supports highly integrated research teams of three to six PD/PIs to address ambitious and challenging research questions important to the mission of NIGMS. The teams are expected to achieve goals requiring considerable synergy and managed interactions, focusing on far-reaching objectives that produce major advances in their fields. Applications focused mainly on community resources, new technologies, or infrastructure development are not appropriate. The FOA allows submission of applications including NIH defined clinical trials, excluding those designed to test safety and efficacy of interventions for future clinical treatment or regulatory approval.
