FHWA Grant Program for Reducing Truck Emissions at Port Facilities

Description

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) will award up to $150 million in Federal funding to eligible entities to reduce idling and emissions at port facilities, including through the advancement of port electrification. The funding covers Fiscal Years 2024, 2025, and 2026, with possible additional funds from FY 2023. Eligible applicants include entities with authority over, operating, or utilizing port or intermodal port transfer facilities, or those testing technologies to reduce truck emissions at these locations. There is no minimum or maximum award amount, and the program aims to support projects that improve port operations and reduce emissions from idling trucks.
