The U.S. Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking a contractor for comprehensive cemetery grounds maintenance services at both the Aberdeen and Edgewood Areas. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) - U.S. Army Garrison Aberdeen Proving Ground - Scope of Services: - Full maintenance of two cemeteries, including: - Landscaping, mowing (8 acres on a 7-day cycle), trimming, and weed control - Tree trimming and removal, stump grinding, and sunken grave repair - Fertilization, lime treatment, and biannual herbicide application - Overseeding with Creeping Red turf grass, aeration, and soil analysis - Headstone cleaning (biannual, eco-friendly solution), alignment, and installation - Maintenance of pathways, parking areas, fencing, and site features - Trash and debris removal, weekly leaf cleanup (seasonal) - Casketed and cremation interments, including grave preparation and vault installation - Grounds beautification: fence repair, plantings, mulching, flower beds - Stormwater maintenance - Performance-based contract with 100% completion and zero defects required for mowing cycles and incidentals - Contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, and materials - Compliance with federal, state, and local laws, safety and security training, and environmental standards - Detailed quality control, contingency, and transition plans required - Contract Details: - 5-year firm fixed-price contract - Includes 60-business-day phase-in and phase-out periods for transition - 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 561730 (Landscaping) - No specific OEMs or product part numbers are referenced; all requirements are for services - Place of Performance: - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (including Aberdeen Area and Edgewood Area cemeteries)

Description

Services include full maintenance of the cemetery and surrounding grounds, such as landscaping, tree trimming and removal, weed control, fertilization, and cleaning of headstones. Additional duties include maintaining pathways, parking areas, fencing and site features; trash removal; excavation for interments; mowing, aeration, overseeding; headstone alignment and installation; and overall grounds beautification. This requirement includes the cemetery at Aberdeen Proving Ground and the Edgewood location of Aberdeen Proving Ground.
