SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an external Inpatient Coding System and associated services for its Health Information Management Department over a five-year contract. - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY) – SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Contracts & Procurement Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Solventum (formerly 3M) is the required OEM for the ARM Core coding system - Products/Services Requested: - Inpatient Coding System compatible with Solventum ARM Core (3M) - Inpatient medical record abstracting/coding services using Solventum ARM Core (3M) - Certified inpatient coders (CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT) - Integration with EMR/document imaging systems: ALTERIA, OnBase, American Healthwear/Eagle 2000 - Secure remote access (site-to-site VPN) and on-site support - Data security compliant with HIPAA and HITECH - 48-hour turnaround for chart completion, 98% coding accuracy, and 2 FTEs daily coverage (including weekends/holidays) - Regular on-site meetings and workforce reporting - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Vendor must have at least five years of experience in inpatient coding/abstracting and with Solventum ARM Core (3M) - Must provide references from hospitals with 300+ beds (at least two in NYS) - All staff must be certified and subject to SUNY approval - Services must comply with federal, state, and SUNY institutional policies and security standards
