SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University (SUNY-DHSU) is seeking proposals for a comprehensive external Outpatient Coding System and related services to support its Health Information Management Department: - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY), SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Contracts & Procurement Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Solventum (formerly 3M) is the required OEM for the ARM Core coding system - Products/Services Requested: - Outpatient Coding System: Must be Solventum ARM Core (formerly 3M) or compatible - Outpatient Medical Coding Services: Certified coders for Emergency Room, Ambulatory, Observation, Hospitalist, and Clinic records - Coders must hold CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT certifications - Accurate assignment of HCPCS and CPT codes - Staffing coverage of at least 2 FTEs daily, 52 weeks per year - On-site and remote support (via secure VPN) - Experience with ALTERA EMR, OnBase, and American Healthwear/Eagle 2000 systems - Compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and all federal/state regulations - Coding accuracy rate of 98% or higher - U.S.-based offices and resources required - MWBE and SDVOB participation goals - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Minimum five years of experience in outpatient medical coding and with Solventum ARM Core system - Vendors must provide references from hospitals with at least 300 beds - All contractor staff must have required licenses, certifications, medical clearances, and background checks - Data security and compliance with federal healthcare program exclusions - Place of Performance: - SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Brooklyn, NY (primary location for service delivery and support)
