Description

This solicitation is for the collection of eggs and milt from the Tatsamenie Lake Sockeye stock in British Columbia. The contractor will fertilize and disinfect the eggs on site and transport the water hardened eggs to the Port Snettisham Hatchery in Alaska. The annual egg take target varies from 250,000 to 3,000,000 eggs depending on the salmon run size assessed annually by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). The contractor is responsible for all mobilization, planning, supervision, crew, camp cook, and logistical support, and must be self-sufficient as DFO does not provide assets or infrastructure.
