Description

The National Professional Development (NPD) program provides grants to public and private nonprofit institutions of higher education and public and private entities with relevant experience and capacity, in consortia with State educational agencies and/or local educational agencies. The grants support pre-service and in-service professional development activities aimed at improving instruction for English learners and assisting educational personnel to meet high professional standards. The program funding is $49,000,000 with expected awards of 10-13 grants, each ranging from $500,000 to $1,000,000 per year, for a project period of up to 60 months. Applications must be submitted by July 14, 2026.
