Description

The Multistate Conservation Grants (MSCG) provide funding for wildlife restoration, sport fish restoration, and recruitment, retention and reactivation (R3) projects that address regional or national priority needs of State fish and wildlife agencies and their partners beyond the capabilities of a single State. The grants support projects involving research, restoration, conservation, management, and public use of wild birds, wild mammals, sport fish, and their habitats. The program is managed cooperatively by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA). Eligible applicants include various nonprofits, state governments, and institutions of higher education. The total funding available is $11,000,000 with an expected 45 awards and a minimum award of $1,000,000. Proposals must address one of the 2027 AFWA Strategic Priorities and demonstrate benefit to multiple states or regions.
