Description
This solicitation seeks a contractor to provide community-based lead screening, testing, outreach, education, training, and follow-up support services for children ages 6 months through 6 years, pregnant people, and families facing barriers to care. Services include point-of-care capillary testing, family education, testing events in community settings, coordination with public health nurses for confirmatory testing, training for health clinics, and support for investigation and response efforts related to elevated blood lead levels. The contractor must document and report project activities, referrals, training, outcomes, barriers, and recommendations according to Department of Health requirements. The goal is to decrease disparities in blood lead levels and improve testing and reporting rates for at-risk children and pregnant people statewide in Hawaii.
