Caltrans is seeking comprehensive maintenance and repair services for two fixed-wing single-engine aircraft based at Sacramento Executive Airport. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 63/Aeronautics, Division of Procurement and Contracts - OEMs and Vendors: - Cirrus Aircraft (SR22) - Hawker Beechcraft (F33A) - Garmin (GI 275 Engine Analyzer) - Products and Services Requested: - Routine and annual maintenance, inspections, and scheduled repairs for two aircraft - 295 hours for Cirrus SR22 - 345 hours for Beechcraft F33A - Non-routine, on-call maintenance and unscheduled repairs (estimated 200 hours) - Engine replacements and propeller overhauls (2 total) - Installation and integration of Garmin GI 275 Engine Analyzer (or equivalent) - Routine and non-routine parts (oil, filters, spark plugs, instrument calibration, repairs for flat tires, etc.) - Off-site maintenance and processing of subcontractor invoices (10 instances) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with FAA regulations and manufacturer manuals - Bidders must be FAA certified repair stations (14 CFR, Part 145) - Services primarily performed at Sacramento Executive Airport (KSAC); off-site work allowed with proper permits - Installation of engine analyzer must be compatible with existing aircraft equipment - Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, aircraft liability, and pollution liability - Incentives for small businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) - Place of Performance: - Sacramento Executive Airport (KSAC), 6151 Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95822

Description

This solicitation is for routine and annual aircraft maintenance, inspection, and requested and non-routine (on-call) repair services for two Caltrans aircraft. The services must comply with the Cirrus Airplane Maintenance Manual for Models SR22 and SR22T, the Hawker Beechcraft 100-Hour or Annual Long Form Inspection Guide, and all Federal Aviation Regulations and FAA directives. Work will primarily be performed at Sacramento Executive Airport (KSAC) with possible non-routine services at alternate airports. Bidders must be certified FAA Repair Stations and comply with specified insurance requirements.
