Shipyard repair services for the Drift Collection Vessel Gelberman

The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, fittings, equipment, tools, power, heat, water, etc., and performing all work on U.S. Drift Collection Vessel "GELBERMAN" specified herein.  The principal dimensions and physical data for the vessel are shown below:

The major work scope includes drydocking the vessel, cleaning and painting the hull, assisting with ABS and USCG required inspections, and miscellaneous modifications and repairs in accordance with these specifications. 

The work scope also includes various items required to satisfy the requirements of Annual Hull and Machinery Surveys.  The Contractor shall be responsible for the costs associated with providing the inspection services of ABS[JHA1] [JC2] .

Wherever the term "Plant" is used in these specifications, it is understood to refer to the items of floating plant named in this paragraph, together with their normal appurtenances, equipment, and supplies.

General vessel arrangements and details are included in the attached file named “Reference Drawings[JHA3] [JC4] ”.  The accuracy of these drawings has not been verified.  Therefore, the Contractor shall template all work from the vessel.

The Contractor shall furnish the necessary facilities for and shall bear the expense of any movement of the plant while it is in his or her possession.

Removal and/or relocation of any parts, equipment, fluids, etc. for interference or access shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.  Similarly, all interference and access removals shall be reinstalled by the Contractor at his/her expense.  Any damage from removal or relocation of parts, equipment, etc. shall be repaired or replaced at the Contractor’s expense.

The Contractor's work shall comply with ABS "Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels" and USCG "Rules and Regulations for Subchapter I, Vessels" as found in the Code of Federal Regulations (Title 46, CFR).

 [JHA3]Gelberman doesn’t have a file called “Refrence Drawings” We need a document or contract section that lays out all of the drawing numbers and titles that are being provided so that we know we have supplied the correct drawings.
